WE MULTIPLY

13th December 2012, my family lost everything we had, everything we own and everything that we thought we were going to get, everything we were going to get because after the incident our worlds collapsed mentally, we lost the “little hope” we had in mind of having a wonderful Christmas celebration. Life dealt us a blow, yes a big one and it wasn't the first either and we are definitely not the first but you never really know what the next person is going through except you have been there.

I got a text message saying your house is on fire…“How can my house be on fire, I just left there, what did my sister leave on, hope people are helping”, these questions and more raced through my head as I sat on my desk in the office that morning. I later called a neighbor who said the who building was gone, at this point my heart couldn't hold anything back….the whole building gone ke? Did a chariot of fire come and carry it away that the whole building was gone, abeg o stop this play and say something better. A inquired of my sister and he handed over the phone to her, “Yes the whole house and all our properties inside….Anenechukwu is the cause of the fire". At this point I broke down, crying, my mind went viral, everything was gone in the twinkle of an eye, I woke up from my bed, I used the radio, I drank cereal, all this and more I did this morning in that house.

This Anenechukwu was a neighbor that gave his house key to a family friend of his and I guess that family friend left an electrical appliance on, because the fire started immediately PHCN brought power as said by eye witnesses. Anenechukwu and another guy call Onyeka and my family lost everything we owned, I mean everything. Only neighbors down stares were able to carry properties that later got stolen by said rescuers, my family could take anything because I and African Queen a.k.a bestest mother had left home for work and my sister was getting ready for school with my brother. African queen went back home as soon as she got the text message but it was too late, my sister had to save my brother first before anything else and since she was the only one at home she did her best and the most heroic thing to do.

We squatted with African queens friend and her family for a while….here’s the testimony. While I was worried about how the Christmas would go, God handle that and gave us a wonderful Christmas gift, we spent Christmas day at Eko Hotel and Suits with the Coolfm praise jam family, the experience was awesome, The Experience I know is similar but The Coolfm Praise Jam is on a different level in terms of venue and number of people, and again also being a VIP was a plus, my sis and I had the fun of our life in the presence of God, there was no worry about anything else, we just sat there and had the time of our lives with God. My family got a better house in months, in a better area, African queen got a better job. Things we didn't have and much more came our way. We didn't die …. We multiplied.

Whenever you are told God will make a way, just say yes he will and He will!. God is a God of wonders and he sure knows how to replenish his own. The butters added to my life are small now… I look forward to the whole family taking a vacation to the Bahamas, I look forward to taking my African queen to Paris (she wants to go there); I look forward to many more than I have imagined.

Please take a minute and think about the times God came to your rescue when you were in dare need of something, that one time when you just wanted that thing done sharply and he did it….now in silence in your heart, block everything out and say a big thank you to the One who made it possible.

Praise the lord…we don’t die, we multiply,
