BREAKING FREE FROM THE ZONE

I decided to write about this because it occurred to me that quite a number of people are still wallowing in the idea of making do with what they have and not daring for more, Pst. Bolaji Idowu said something’s about breaking free but I’m adding the zone to it. This is kind of like a semi cull from his message. Enjoy.

A zone is one’s environment, job, habit, believe system that makes one feel all comfortable with lack of progress unknowingly. Zones surface at every stage of one’s life, not to mar you intentionally, but to help you get better, move closer to that vision, teach you another way to get through life and its beautiful stress and make you the best.

Breaking free is leaving a comfort zone, moving on even in the face of despair, to a just graduated young man its saying no to dad’s offer and going out to fend for himself, its being strong, matured, brave enough to make the move and not look back about it. Breaking free from the zone is coming out from that place that seems to make you feel all good and being yourself, no stress, no pain, no fear, just you being cool and feeling fly.

Some women feel comfortable being career women, some feel better being house wife’s…..but only the strong can break free and be all in one, yes it not easy but confining yourself to one category when you can do more is limiting to me. A quote from award wining singer Beyonce:
“Boy you know you love it how we smart enough to make this million, strong enough to bear the children, then get back to business”.

It also apply to some men who don’t want to carry certain responsibilities but want the fun therein, students who don’t want to read but claim 5.00CGPA when pastor prays in church for student result, lazy employee’s who lay around but want promotion like they say on twitter #God is watching you. God isn’t watching you; destiny is walking away and guess what it might never come back, unless God loves you too much to help you recover loss opportunities.

I think its time you pick up from where you stopped and forge ahead, because one girl soiled your feelings doesn’t mean your wife will, because you lost one child doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try again….don’t get too comfortable being the least in class, ‘am ok where I am’, what the heck, is that where you really should be, there is one million and one reason you should get better in everything.

I challenge you to look into the future and tell yourself what you feel it will be like and if the present doesn’t depict anything near that then you have a lot to do.

Break free and get better
