THE SCAPE GOAT

This day was a colleagues birthday, as office custom, we would have a little get together for this special person on his or her special day and say somethings about this person....luckily it was Paul's birthday....but I call him Chimdi. Unknown to me the ritual in the office is that the newly employed person will and always will be the scape goat...so your beloved blogger was used and laughed at to the fullest.

Three people were chosen to speak about Paul - Chinwe, Elendu and Me, so the two others spoke about how good, nice and attractive to ladies he can be almost every where he went to. Then came yours trulys' turn to say a word or two about the celebrant and I went all out to praise this dude, throwing caution to the wind...only to be laughed at. I said words like he is soft, loving and intelligent. I even went all out to sing so professionally for him with my 'one in a million voice' putting a full stop to my 'laugh at sentence',  it didn't hit me until when they asked how soft he was and how loving he could be.

Then it dawn on me that I had been used as a SCAPE GOAT without mercy, my predecessor who also is a friend didn't bother warning me, when I asked her she told told me she wanted to enjoy the moment, bask in the glory of being the scape goat. I was warned by O.G about being careful with my words but I felt it was for me not to say bad things or hurt Paul's feeling on his special day unknown to me that I was digging my tenure of "laugh at"...I wonder how long I will be laughed at.

But seriously what was I thinking when I said he was soft.....yes I remember what I was thinking, but am not telling cause I know you already have  a bunch of stuffs running through your wide minds right now.

Scape goat of the Season...

SUGAR

On Wednesday I escorted a friend to GT Bank ATM at DLI and decided to take a quick peep at what Honours Hostel looks like, I had heard a lot about this hostel and since the opportunity presented it self I decide to make a good use of it. Honours Hostel is located around the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) teaching Center of the University of Lagos, this institute shares a roundabout with the Faculty of Social Sciences and Unilag Consult, Honours hostel is just some kilometers away from DLI.

As I stepped in through the gates of Honours female Hostel a female security stopped me and asked if I am a resident of the hostel which I replied her no, if I had said yes she would have asked for my hostel ID card or bring out their "pink book" and check my name and if my name isn't there then there is fire on the mountain....this female security then asked again what I wanted, I told her I wanted to see a friend, then only did she allow me enter after knowing the room number of this friend, of which I lied about the room number.

Honours is a very clean hostel, I personally think they compete with Moremi Hostel when comes to cleanliness, the wall are well painted, the environment was well lighted and conducive, but, the first place you enter and see is their common room which lacked chair compared to the number of students allocated that hostel. I also checked out their reading room and yes its beautiful and cozy but I can't sit on those seats because it lacks cushion, just bear wood, my buttocks will be much hurt, and I dot like that. The rooms are quite spacious they are six man rooms with two normal locker for the first two room mates to in and four miniature lockers for the last four. The kitchen are clean, but in Moremi where I come form it takes the grace of God to see a Moremite cook in the kitchen....don't ask me where they cook.

As I was about stepping into Honours through the main door that welcomes you into the Common room, I came face to face with this girl called SUGAR...she had on a very deep neck line top revealing her firm and full cup breast and a thong only and she was five steps away from the gate where a male security man stood, she was dancing and chatting with every one in the common room. Sugar has the body of a goddess, she had this kind of 'behind' that makes you ask yourself as a girl if God isn't a cheat, because you will feel cheated, but as a guy, her body makes you wanna take her to bed and do all sorts, and when she danced, her hips seems to swing in motion, her *ss clapped after every step, she had a body a girl would visit doctor 90210 for.

I guess Sugar knows what she has it and she was flaunting it, but flaunting to girls is not the best except shes a lesbian, which am sure that even if she is she wouldn't want every body to know since the law has been passed for 14years sentence....oh wait maybe it for the security man, but why would she want to seduce the man. Sugar had recommended glasses on and with the way she spoke I could tell that she is a very intelligent young lady, I have to give it to Sugar she is a daring person, (I thought I was) she wasn't even ashamed one bit about being clothed that way with a male insight, maybe she was acting a dare, maybe shes a lesbian, maybe it just her.....just maybe.

I bought toast bread just so I could stay longer even though I had planed on spending not more than 10mins in this Hostel and still Sugar wasn't ready to leave this 'arena of hers' anytime soon, she had just begun, she stayed there, played with everyone even though some passerby had this look of 'what the f*** is she doing', she gave this 'I don't care' reply. Sugar seems to me like one of those girls who don't need no help to have fun, those girls that can do bad all by themselves. But why the name sugar...though I didn't have any physical contact with her, I sort of admired her courage deep down...I would love to try something as daring as that; and the name sugar goes well for that body of hers.

My toast came and and my friend was on my neck, I had to leave, but as at when I was leaving,. Sugar was still there doing her thing, only God knows what else she might had done while I had gone.

How daring can you be??????

IS OKOTIE CONFUSED?

when the going was good

For readers who are not Nigerians and not familiar with this issue, I will do a quick re-run. Pastor Chris Okotie is a televangelist and Pastor in-charge of the Household of God Church International Ministry, Lagos Nigeria,  a lawyer and a former secular artist who got married to this second wife of his in the year 2008 after he had separated from his first wife due to unresolved issues that were undisclosed. Pastor Chris Okotie and his second wife Stephenie Henshaw both attested that God had showed them that they will have a set of twin babies.

Fast forward to four years later (2012) he announced after the celebration of the birthdays of those born in June in his church, “Stephanie and I are no longer married. We have separated. You can see she’s not in church today. It’s due to irreconcilable differences and you should please respect our wishes at this time because there is no going back,” he was quoted to have said. Then Pastor Chris went on again to say that he will be getting married by December and will then let Nigerians know what really transpired between him and Stephenie. Stephenie is a mother of three kids from two different marriages and was a member of his church. Chris and Stephenie were married for four years before the collapse of their marriage.

Now the koko:

Seriously what is really wrong with him, I mean Chris Okotie... I see him as a man of God and I believe that having a wife or re-marrying so as not to fornicate or commit adultery is pardonable, but I don't see reasons why he should go around talking about how bad or how good he and Steph were before and after the marriage, it isn’t necessary to me, for Christ sake nobody is interested in all this hyped marriage make-ups and break-ups again since it's obvious that this is not his first marriage, we have had so much of him in the first marriage clash.

Pastor's like Taiwo Odukoya and William Kumuyi have re-married and they didn't create  all this media noise making and attention, even though their 'wifies' were more up-front in the ministry, *shrunting my shoulder* I kind of doubt if any of his ‘wifies’ know a thing or two about working in the ministry setting, or maybe they are just one of those who believe that they are non-pulpit minister, which most people use as an excuse not to preach and for some run away from the preying eyes of watchers. Chris Okotie's inability to stay with one wife has kind of put a stench on other pastors too you know
.

Stephenie....she is a very pretty woman and I must give that to her, I want to believe the inner voice in me saying that she didn’t bargain for all this media hype about a collapse marriage, nobody would really want it even if they were at fault I guess, not to add to the fact that she has two failed marriages to her belt. ‘if I were Stephenie, I wouldn’t say more than what has already been said, that’s if I even get to say anything at all, though I might not be in my matrimonial home anymore but am still legally married to this man he is still the head over me….*stern face* yes it hard for a lot of us 21st century women to agree to certain facts especially when it has to do with a man being over us, but apart from our African culture, the bible and even the Quran states it clearly. Mrs. Stephenie Okotie is what she should still call herself until legally divorced.

Pastor and Mrs. Okotie are and can go on without all this noise, Pastor Chris telling us he will let us know by December what his wife did that warranted her being ‘thrown out of her matrimonial home’ shouldn’t have been said in the first place…it a personal matter that should have been kept to himself, Okotie need’s to sit down and really think about this whole marriage thing again, yes it’s not good for a man to be alone, but when a man is not ready he should recognize that fact and WAIT, I personally think Okotie should wait a while longer, access himself and see if there is a need to take his wife back or to move on. Until then, every move towards marriage should be put on hold as at the time being.

Remarrying to me at the time being is a very bad idea…..that’s my candid opinion, if he is not counting it….the world is, and believe you me…when the world finally decides to count it for him out loud in his ears…it will be bloody.

Pastor Chris Okotie…please and please make this your last and final marriage, if you must marry again after Stephenie.

SONG OF THE WEEK

I WAS HERE "I Was Here" is a song recorded by American R&B recording artist Beyoncé Knowles Carter from her fourth studio album, 4 (2011). It was written by Diane Warren, while production was handled by Ryan Tedder, Brent Kutzle, and Kuk Harrell; Knowles is credited on the vocal production. "I Was Here" is a reflective ballad, in which Knowles vulnerably reviews her past, wanting to leave an impact on the world before her life comes to an end. The song's development was motivated by the September 11 attacks in the United States.

I choose this song as song of the week' because of the lyrics...we all need to help someone, touch some one....save someone and leave a mark.

I WAS HERE - lyrics

I wanna leave my footprints on the sands of time
know there was something that, and something that I left behind
when I leave this world, I'll leave no regrets
leave something to remember, so they won't forget
I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done,
everything that I wanted and it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here

I want to say I lived each day, until I die
and know that I meant something in, somebody's life
the hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I live
that I made a difference, and this world will see
I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done,
everything that I wanted and it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done,
everything that I wanted and it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here

I just want them to know that I gave my all,
did my best brought someone to hapiness
left this world a little better just because
I was here

I was here
I lived, I loved
I was here
I did, I've done,
everything that I wanted and it was more than I thought it would be
I will leave my mark so everyone will know
I was here x2

QUOTE OF THE DAY

I would be most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think interior decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves.   Anna Quindlen (1953)

BIRTH-DAY

Patrick Olusegun Odegbami was brought up in the northern city of Jos, Plateau State. He won 46 caps and scored 23 goals for the National Team, and guided Nigeria to its first Africa Cup of Nations title at the 1980 tournament in his homeland. Nicknamed Mathematical, he was famous for his skill on the ball, speed and precision of his crosses from the right wing.

UNDER COBHAMS VOICE

My weekend saw me at a youth gathering titled the Mega Flow series, this program ‘the baby idea’ of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (Tree of Life Parish) in Apapa, this baby idea has grown up to become and adult that everyone one is struggling and to be part of, television stations like Silverbird, NTA and Rhythm FM was on ground to cover the programme, so be on the watch out for it on this stations.

Mega Series is a annual gathering of youths that sees the gathering of young people that seesto the showcasing of talents, this year’s theme was ‘Inspired by your dreams’. Bouqui was the preacher for day 1, and from what I heard, though she took time, she is quite ‘Worded’, then she went on to minister in songs from her album for 15minutes.

Day 2 was Cobhams on the ‘board’ doing his thing, he sang this song that got me thinking over and over again about how God has been so good and his flow of mercy, grace, favour and the fact that God believes in me too….waoh, my spirit was lifted, my heart was high up there. His voice was so angelic that it made me think about how sweet that of angels sounds like…when he pitched the word holiness, I couldn’t hold back tears from my eyes as I felt Gods glory from the mouth of a disabled man who wasn’t going to let his disability stop him from seeing God as all supreme.

Cobhams held the church spell bound by his ministration, the church was filled to capacity and there wasn’t a single movement while Cobhams ministered…for me that was the high point, every other thing after that didn’t interest me.

God bless Cobhams for being a great impact to this generation…for answering the call of God upon his life…a big kiss and Huge even though he has a wife *a kiss on the cheek o*

UNILAG CHANNEL O

Yesterday I was notified by a friend who deemed it fit for me to write about it on my blog about the "University of Lagos Channel O". The University of Lagos has it own Channel O which it might or might not be proud of, this said Channel O is so different that it got me wondering what students were thinking when they decide to make and participate in this show of nakedness....YES NAKEDNESS.

There is an area in the University of Lagos that a female hostel and a male hostel share a single wall division, meaning the female and male hostel is divided by a wall, this wall divides their toilets, and so, students decided to make a big round hole and named it Channel O, my friend and other people who live around the said environment attested to the fact that there is a Channel O but not all resident of the said hostels involved participate in this show of shame.

You participate by going to the said toilet area, putting a bucket upside down on your head (covering your face) naked after bathing, then the guy 'next door' does the same and the both of you begin to unleash curses on yourselves. The reason for this I don't know yet, but my friend also said that when people who have beef against each other dare themselves to the Channel O Arena, this seems to me more like 'Spartacus Arena' (if you have watched the movie then you know what am talking about).

What do the individuals involved stand to gain from this act, why go this far just to show how much beef they have for each other, are there other things involved apart from just 'abusing' each other. Many questions unanswered..... but from what I got from my friend, this hole wasn't there before and even when the hole was made, it wasn't this big and it was made by the guys and meant for peeping at girls when they bath, but why havnt anybody reported this 'Channel O'.

Strange that student enjoy doing this.....

OUT AND ABOUT WITH DIPP

Yes...his a friend, for all y'all who don't know Dipp, his is the Owambe crooner, he dance like Chris Brown or a little bit  more like Usher Raymond, so my friend is promoting his album and his brand, he called me to come support him at this show at Ikeja area, off I went to support a dearie all the way.

On getting to the said location, I was greeted as usual with all the security check, finally I was free to go in.....just when I got in I saw my dearie walking towards the exit door, we exchanged pleasantries as usual and he acted the gentleman that he is and  took me to the VIP section where I met Queen Ure (Soul E baba's ex-wife and one time Pastor Chris Okotie's babe), Queen Ure's story is for another day.

Dearie was handed the mic to do what he knows how to do best and he didn't disappoint at all. while Dipp was performing, one of those entourage guys was trying to get down with me...lol. "Bros shey you  no know your own person ni" guess Dipp didn't inform him that am more of a sister than a *........*. this dude was just allover me, trying to get me to dance, com'on I even know some of the steps for this song.

Bros was just allover trying his best, got me chicken (licking ma lips) the chicken was very tasty anyway, drinks, a piece from Queen Ure's birthday cake since it was her birthday, he was all over the place trying to get this gorgeous babe to respond to him...just as I was about to give a reply to this 'never go down easily suitor' Dipp came to the rescue, calling for a dance and photographs.

Some guys just don't understand NO...when you eventually spill it out in an irritating manner, they say you are ill-mannered.... mtchewwwwwwww

MY FRIEND.....MY MONEY

Its funny how quickly friends become foes, have you ever wondered why your friends seem to be the ones who throw the shit more...or maybe they are just not your friends.....maybe I expect too much, maybe I give too much. but all the same I marvel every time I see someone call me a friend and goes right the next minute to throw the friendship in my face....

We have been friends for a year and we got along quite well, the bonding was so smooth or maybe too quick, the start was splendid, the chemistry was divine..no am not gay, its just the way I see it. We did what friends do...we still do, just that now are heart is not as attached to it as it was before...guess we're trying to stay matured about the all -ish.

This faithful Wednesday night, I had just successfully pushed down half a plate of oat, and was about going to the reading room, when my said friend asked for my phone as her's was stolen about a month ago and she is still waiting for her 'BB Touch 2', so I handed over my phone to her, since she said she wanted to flash another friend, I had N3 on the phone I guess that is enough to flash anyone in the world..... off Iwent to the reading only to return later to collect my phone as I needed to use the dictionary on the phone. I returned to the reading room, used the dictionary, wanted to flash a friend to and a lady voice from my service provider said my balance was too low to make the call, angrily I cut the call, checked my balance and saw N0.00k...

My friend flashed another network provider's number and said she didn't call, agreed she didn't call, how then did the call go through if there was no credit in it at all...my friend jumped down from her bunk went straight off to buy me a  N100 recharge card...why didnt she just buy more than that, I bluntly told her to take recharge card back that as I didn't  need it, and it wasnt the first time she had exhausted my credit without returning it, she went on to say this was different.....what was different about it, "  I will use my N97 naira and leave your remaining credit", this same friends owes me a certain amount of money.

I guess everything is different now.

My friend......my money

SCHOOL UNFOLDING II

On a Saturday afternoon, I was woken up from sleep by a multitude of female students in Moremi Hall screaming, and I hate to be woken in a harsh manner from sleep. What was the reason for this noise: A 400L Law Student had attacked a fellow Muslim student with a sharp knife and was telling everyone around that she was going to kill this Muslim student come what may (this babe wants to invite Boko Boys to Unilag o), and no one should try to stop her.....killing someone is a criminal offense but I guess this girl already knows the law and can defend herself well, since she is a law student and has knowledge about the law to a considerable level.

Finally I got to know what was the cause of the violent attack, the said 400L student was corrected by the Muslim babe not to dirty her bed, this said 400L student is even a squatter, putting herself and her 'squatee' in great danger. I don't see how correcting someone became a criminal offense in Nigeria and why you should be threatened.

This scene lasted for almost thirty minutes, and when seen that her fellow rommies could not stop her, porters and security officer in the hostel were called to do justice to the situation, taking away the 'knife babe', her squatee, the Muslim girl and anyone willing to be an eye witness.

The consequence of such act is that both squatter and squatee get evicted from the hostel and given severe punishment from the school authority. But I wonder what will make a man want to kill his fellow man. the act of killing is a deliberate action on anyone's part and takes both courage and anger to carry out. But imagine if a lawyer is to be the one killing people, who would be the one to defend us, or better still imagine such a lawyer in court and the accused is misbehaving and not answering the question correctly, or the judge makes a decision that decision doesn't concur to the standard of the lawyer as he/she was taught in Law School.... hmmmm I can only imagine.

If lawyers can't defend us who will????

FORMING CELEBRITY.....

Alot of us wish most times that we are celebrities and could just do some certain things and have fun, jet off to the Caribbeans or go wherever we want to and do whatever we like without restriction, for people to work with our time schedule and try as much as they can to please us (isn't it cool anyway?).

I guess that was the way one former Big Brother Nigeria Housemate was feeling (because you enter Big Brother doesn't make you a celebrity), I met this housemate at the funeral after-party of the Demuren's  for their beloved mother who past away (details about how she died I don't know), in Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria,  oh am also an usherette, that's how I met dis wannabe celebrity ( that's what he is to me...).

Well that day we (my ushering outfit) used more of servers than ushers so I was a supervisor for a particular section of the party and that section was for celebrities, the moment this bros (wannabe) saw me standing wit the servers holding trays in hand, he signaled to me to come over to their their table with people like Noble Igwe and co. on that table, I humbly went over to make a guest as comfortable as I could. Bros (wannabe) did not even bother to say hello or allow me introduce myself formally, he just asked as if he employed me as his maid or it was his relations funeral party we were there for  "do you guys have champagne, I mean like Moet or Bacardi" I gave him one good look he would never forget (its his type that goes clubbing and can't even afford one red bull like the late rapper Dagrin said). I answered him nicely, but in my mind he was as good as dead. So the party started, yes there was enough drink for everyone to even take home, but I made sure he was punished to acting rudely to a fellow human, courtesy demands that you treat fellow beings with mutual respect (for those of you who feel usher are no humans or are already paid to work so they should do whatever your wish is, their work doesn't include being your maid and don't forget that what goes around comes around).

So as the party progressed, I kept plotting and hoping that my prey (the wannabe) would enter my trap, and yes he did, he signaled again like he did the first time and said he wants his Moet now (as if hes the one that paid for it, lol), and I replyed that if he would give me a minute he will have his Moet in his clean glass cup. Off  went I, I didn't return until 7minutes latter, saying to him that am I'm very sorry he didn't order on time other people had ordered and the said drink is being given according to their time of order, bros (wannabe) began to form anger and celebrity for me o, suddenly I turned it on him saying he shouldn't make a scene and that his not the only one entittled to a champagne *polite insult*.

When it was time for him to go, he looked at me and I could tell from the look that he knew I was being mean to him, but to me I was just paying back his disrespect, not like he had done anything tangible in the entertainment industry sef.....*hissing*

his name is......U....B...... (not telling, not at all, LMAO).
