UNKNOWN FACTOR

Lillian and Kevwe had been dating for nine years, their relationship was well known to every one who knew them. Lillian is a banker (one job I personal don’t feel appropriate for single women willing to mingle or for young married couple who are raising children), Kevwe on the other hand is a consultant with a leading consulting firm in the land and was appointed the position of a manager.

This couple met at an interview they both went for, they kicked off things at a gradual process and got to know each other better, and as time went by they began to see things from a different perspective – Love. They couldn’t hide their feelings towards each other any more and had to officially start dating with Lillian initialing the relationship. Their relationship for nine years didn’t move anymore than it had been.

After nine years Lillian felt it was time to take things to the next level…but not with Kevwe, she took things to the next level with James, a colleague at the office  but higher in position than her, Lillian and James had been dating for two years and they felt it was time to get married.

KOKO:

If you’re not going to get married to a person you are in a relationship with let the person go, keeping him or her for anything less than a year plus to some people is caging and boring talk less of nine years, and why stay in a relationship that has nothing to offer after two years, if the other partner is not saying anything towards the direction of marriage initiate the discussion and get a response fast to save yourself the stress of more years.

Personally, am not against a lady initiating a relationship, but the culture of our society doesn’t appreciate such gesture from any lady at all. What was Kevwe doing all the while that he didn’t take notice of the fact that Lillian wasn’t pestering him for marriage, peradventure she was before, and James how sure is James that he knows Lillian well enough to make her his wife….for her to date another man for nine years and date him for two years without being caught, waoh she must be super secretive I guess. There too many sides to this coin that I sincerely cant understand.

Maybe Kevwe didn’t really want to marry her too, maybe they just kept mute to that fact that they cant get married and they cant let go (unofficial friends with benefit), maybe they didn’t see reasons to tell everyone that they were not going to get married.

I wish them both the time of their lives.

P.S: a friend Shade is willing to make her life a series, so watch out for Shade's Diary
