Oritsefemi Covers The New Issue Of Bubbles Magazine
The Ajegunle born crooner has had a smashing return to the streets after a hiatus. Coming out with his Mercies of the Lord debut in 2006, he gave voice to the emerging dancehall genre that was spreading like wild fire. A few other hits later he all but vanished from the airwave, only for him to make a powerful return with Double Wahala this year. From being a ghetto boy, Oritsefemi became a crowd favourite almost overnight. He speaks exclusively to Bubbles Magazine about his hustle, his music and his plans for the future now that he’s a superstar.
Also in this issue, Bubbles lends its voice to the #BringBackOurGirls campaign that has united the world in grief and anger. They collaborate with ace photographer Shola Animashaun to document our collective call for right to be done for these little girls that are being held by insurgents. He photographs dozens of Nigerian celebrities and regular folks holding up the now ubiquitous sign, #BringBackOurGirls.
In his words, ‘It is wrong not to do anything just because you can do a little’. It is our hope and fervent prayer that the girls would be rescued speedily. With features on Daddy Showkey, 2Chainz and several other artistes as well as fashion articles, tech and urban entertainment, the new edition of Bubbles promises to be a master piece as usual. Bubbles Magazine is out this week and can be found at Glendora Bookshops, Patabah Bookstores, Ozone Cinemas and at newsstands nationwide.
