"Perfecting the Perfecto" is catnip as a slogan and a sales pitch. Having tweaked the Trialmaster and the Roadmaster jackets, creative director Martin Cooper is now applying himself to the task of finessing the best-known moto standard.
While some designers still hew to Resort's original cruise mentality, Cooper has adopted a more buy-now, wear-now stance, heavy on leathers: leather jackets, stretch-leather-front jersey pants, leather His concession to warmer climes was a perforated Perfecto and matching shorts set. That, and a group of silk shifts, polka-dotted in homage to the polka-dot racing scarves he discovered in some moto photos from the fifties and sixties.
