Design For Love's bags and clutches are contemporary and modern, they still maintain that African authenticity.
Design for love's Creative Director, Wunmi Olufeko is among the growing number of African designers who are embracing local fabrics and trying to implement them in ways that are new and interesting.
The latest collection of bags features acrylic purses, wooden purses, leather totes with lots of Ankara and sequin detail and other products. The designer says that the new collection is sort of a tribute to some of the women whose stories and values have inspired her to be a better designer, wife, mother and friend. Of course every piece in the collection has a name. According to Wunmi, “There's the Clara box clutch (which is my favourite because I love the way the name sounds), the Aracelli tote bag, the Ebun bag and so on.”
