First, Miley was accused of saying some pretty not nice things about Beyonce in her LOVE Magazine interview, which turned out to be made up, and now that the issue is finally over, we’re learning a bit more about Miley. Apparently she’s not the easiest person to dress for a fashion photoshoot.
Katie Grand, editor-in-chief of LOVE, said, ‘It was tricky to borrow clothes” for Miley’s shoot.
“As first I wasn't sure about Miley. A lot of people aren't. It was tricky to borrow clothes for the shoot because she seems to divide opinion in a Marmite-esque way,” wrote Grand in her introduction to Cyrus’ cover story. “Many people I respect didn't want to get involved. They thought there was something superficial about her — dangerous, even.”
But as we have learned prior with her W Magazine interview, Miley Cyrus doesn't really care what others think of her, her provocative way of dressing, or her tongue-wagging antics. In the corresponding LOVE interview, Miley opens up about considering herself a feminist and learning to do whatever the f*** you want, even if it means designers won’t pull for you.
‘What’s crazy to me – and this is nuts – is that sexuality is still so offensive,’ Miley says. ‘Kids need to know about sexuality. Girls need to be comfortable in that. You know, people laugh and think it’s funny that I said I’m a big feminist, but what about me isn't? I tell girls, be who you are. Do whatever the f*** you want.’
To be fair, Miley has designers like Marc Jacobs and Roberto Cavalli in her corner, so we’re sure she’ll be draped in fashion for plenty of time to come.
