KONKO FASHION

Hervé Léger By Max Azria Resort 2014

Hervé Léger has been headed in a sporty direction for the past year or so. This season, Max and Lubov Azria continued to play up the label's athletic side with a Resort collection inspired by aquatic activities like snorkeling and scuba diving. The designers expanded their separates offerings with hooded vests, rash-guard-inspired tops, second-skin leggings, and sexy bathing suits that definitely require a fit figure; rubberized mesh and zipper details enhanced the performance of body-con bandage dresses done in a variety of pastel hues.

Keeping the water theme in mind, a series of evening-ready looks were sprayed with iridescent crystals so as to give the appearance of having just emerged from the ocean surf. Speaking of emerging, the fringy numbers here—one halter gown that was a remake of an iconic style from the eighties stood out in particular—were meant for stepping out.
