Rihanna Covers Glamour UK, Talks About Looking For A Baby Daddy, Bullying & Being Fearless

Rihanna is ready to be a mom But first the “Rude Boy” singer has put the brakes on any baby-making plans until she finds the right guy:

“One day I will have kids. I look forward to the day when I’m gonna be a mum. But I’m nowhere close. I don’t even have a potential baby daddy!”

Rihanna – who graces the cover of Glamour UK‘s January issue – had one hell of a year. The Bajan beauty is on top of the world with the success of her MAC collection, Rih for River Island line and most recently, winning the first-ever Icon Award during this year’s American Music Awards. During the AMAs, we got a rare glimpse at Rih’s mother, Monica Braithwaite, when she presented her daughter with the coveted award. It’s no surprise that our favorite Good Girl Gone Bad draws a lot of strength from her mother. In fact, the singer explained how her “mum” gave her the courage to regain her “fearlessness” and be a little more assertive in her life and professional career:

RiRi told Glamour UK:

“I had to regain my fearlessness because it did go away for a bit. My mother said something to me a few years ago: I’ve seen something in your eyes I’ve never seen before: fear.’ She was like, ‘No, this is not you’. I just got back to being OK with myself,”

“I can’t run from (the haters). You can’t change who you are. It’s important for me to know who I am and work with that. They’re gonna keep knocking away until all this comes crashing down. But I’m not ever gonna crash. I’m in control.”

Although Rih has been the center of quite a few Twitter wars, the 25-year-old got pretty personal when she revealed that she was a victim of bullying during her early school years.

“I got teased my entire school life. What they were picking on I don’t understand.”

Rih will not let her past set her back and is definitely not down for the B.S.

“But I’m not victimized – I’m grateful. I think those experiences were strategically put together by God for the preparation of being in the music industry. It’s so easy for me to deal with the bull**** now.”

It’s refreshing to see Rih open up about her vulnerabilities and insecurities. Hopefully, we can get more of this from her. For now, check out the video of the singer and her BFF doing the robot in Napa Valley. Because, why not?
