This 52 year old woman
looking all haggard and worn out
what can be said of her
what is known of her past and what will be her future


though she wants to make things right
she is being forced to stay stagnant
being forced by who and why
is a yet to be known agenda

52 years of strains and burns
she is ageing, ageing fast
she has been bombed on all sides
what is is left of her land is nothing but infertile soil

her name is Nigeria
a beautiful woman with all qualities
even at the peak of death
she still boost of rising again

will she arise, gain strength and glory again?
will she tell her story?
and make history in better glory
